Play early in the morning: temperatures are most pleasant before 10am. In the afternoon, the heat can be grueling from November to April. Aim for tee times between 7am and 9:30am for the best conditions.

Sun protection and hydration: a wide-brimmed cap, a lightweight long-sleeve polo (UPF 50 if possible) and SPF 50 sunscreen are essential. Bring at least 2 liters of water or an isotonic drink for 18 holes — perspiration under the tropical sun is considerable.
